I've had two of these sprinklers. When the were in good shape they performed marvelously. On both sprinklers, tho, the red cap (fits onto the end of the long arm that sits in the cradle) blew off and was lost. On the first one, I contacted Gilmour but they sent the wrong part. Tried tape but that was useless and stupid. Bought a 2nd, same thing happened - the red cap blew off and was nowhere to be found. The tape worked on the 2nd one for about 2 years. Then I gave up and tossed it - bought a Nelson that is quite crappy. Considering going back to this one but gluing the cap on before use.
