I have certain areas in my lawn with very sandy soil that dry out fast in summer weather. I love that I can set these up on the edge of my lawn and keep them there permanently, and not have to move them around like the traditional sprinklers. Placement for those dry areas was key. I had to purchase the "Orbit 58197 Zinc Step Spike" separately and both work perfectly together. I have a well so worried about whether these would work if the pressure was not perfect... but they work perfectly. I also have garden hose quick connections set up so that I can use the hose manually when needed. and then quickly reconnect my sprinkler back up. Very convenient and happy with my purchase. UPDATE 8/6/2022: These have worked perfectly for me. I find that I needed one more sprinkler so purchased another of this same sprinkler head with the Orbit 58197 Zinc Step Spike as the base. The only complaint I have is that the sprinkler head was sent in a plain plastic bag. No box or a bag with bubble protection around it. I am hoping that nothing was bent during the packing and delivery process. ugggg... We'll see
